All are welcome at our ceremony and the cocktail hour immediately following, however we appreciate your understanding that we can only accomodate invited family for dinner at 6pm.

The ceremony, reception, and dinner will be held at Seekers Church, located at 276 Carroll St NW, Washington, DC 20012. That's one block from the Takoma Metro Station, just inside the DC line.
Plenty of parking is available on Carroll St and Eastern Ave immediately surrounding Seekers Church.
Right now Marian is planning to wear a wedding dress, and Chris a tux. However, you don't need to wear what we're wearing! We expect most folks to be wearing a suit or cocktail dress. However, wear what makes you look and feel good and celebratory.
The only gifts we'd like is your help celebrating our union.
As a symbolic reminder that marriage requires nurturing and a good foundation, we'll be potting a plant as part of our ceremony.
However, we cannot do it alone. It would be appreciated and meaningful if each of you, our loved ones, brought a handful of actual, real dirt to contribute to our plant. The dirt will be a physical manifestation of the foundation and community from which our love grows. We'd especially love it if the dirt comes from somewhere special to you.
We will have a container for you to add your contributions to when you arrive (and wipes so you don't have to worry about any mess!).
